Personal training is our main business. Within this service, nutrition and
life coaching are also included. We won't simply put you through a workout
and tell you what to do unless that is all you want. Our main goal is to
guide, teach and educate. The sessions will not only be exercise related,
but will also cover healthier eating habits and behavioral change
modifications to ensure you are doing your best to reach your goals. If
all you want is an exercise program; we can show you how to exercise
properly through strict form and technique. If you need much more than
that, we will give you the tools to do so. Strength training,
stretching/flexibility, cardiovascular training and more fall under the
service of personal training.
NUTRITION
Nutrition is a vital piece of the puzzle. Most facilities do not offer
nutritionl guidance/food plans. That is what distinguishes us from the rest!
We will work closely with your schedule and current eating habits to
develop a plan of attack that works for you! There won't be any starvation
diets; it'll be more about giving your body the appropriate nutrients
specific to your goal.
Nutrition is probably the most important aspect of reaching a fitness goal
whether its fat loss, building muscle or training for a race. If you
aren't fueling your body before and after your workouts, the results will
not be satisfactory. A lot of people have a tough time accepting this.
"Eating healthy" will only get you so far. If your goal is to lose weight
- you must eat to lose weight. If you want to train for a race - you must
eat specific to your needs. You also need to be consistent for weeks into
months to make any progress. This isn't a "Well, I had a salad for lunch
today...isn't that healthy?" situation. It's about giving your body the
right nutrients, water and rest/recovery on a regular basis in order to
achieve success.
The nutrition plans can be very detailed (eat this food at this time), or
very basic where a general food list is given and you make your own
decisions. Food journaling/logs are also very helpful to keep you focused
and on track!
*We are not registered dieticians. Food plans are given as recommendations
only.
Top Notch Training is the only personal training facility in the area to
also offer classes. During each season, a different class(es) will be
offered. During the summer and fall, outdoor boot camps are typical.
During the winter months, yoga/pilates and boxing may be offered as well.

Life coaching involves the practice of mentoring/coaching clients through
lifestyle changes to better your quality of life and reach your fitness
goals. Behavior modifications, goal setting, positive thinking and healthy
practices all come into play. It is very important to make these
adjustments in order to be successful. If excuses are constantly being
made, if you not showing up to your appointments, slacking on cardio
training and not eating healthy - we will find the reason why and try to
help you change those bad habits!
It is very important to keep an open mind and be willing to change. If you
are not ready, we cannot help you. All aspects of life affect whether or
not you reach your fitness goal. Time management, stress relief/control,
procrastinating, depression and so on all affect how focused one will be
during their time here. Clients who come in determined and motivated to
reach their goals may do so in a short amount of time. Others may spend
YEARS with a personal trainer without any success at all. It comes down to
YOU and only YOU. We can only do so much seeing you for a limited amount
of time each week. Do not waste our time and we will not waste yours. We
are passionate about changing lives and that is why we do this.
At Top Notch Training, we work on accountability. This means you show up
to your appointment on time and be ready to work hard. If you’re going to
make excuses, cancel sessions, and complain the entire time - maybe it’s
best if you look elsewhere. However, if you’re someone who very focused
then let’s work together! Give us a call immediately. We are waiting to
